Ir. Dr. Norhashila Hashim is currently an associate professor and the Head of Department at the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). She received her Ph.D in Biomechanical Engineering from UPM in 2013. Her research interest includes postharvest engineering, agricultural process engineering and precision agriculture. Throughout her career, she has significantly contributed to the development of curriculum and scientific research with outstanding achievements. Until now, she has authored more than 160+ scientific publications including high-impact factor journals, books and book chapters, and proceeding papers.
Dr. Deepa Kodali, Christian Brothers University, USA.
Dr. Deepa Kodali is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at CBU. She worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Tuskegee University prior to joining CBU (2019-2021). She graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville with PhD in mechanical engineering in 2019. She has research expertise in the most happening fields of science and engineering, such as the development of bio-inspired materials for biomechanics, polymer nanocomposites, and biocomposites, application of flight characteristics of insects and birds to the micro air vehicles, fluid-structure interactions of flexible flapping wings and modeling and analysis of multi-disciplinary complex physical systems with strongly coupled interactions. She has published several papers (25+) and book chapters (3), and she is editor of one book. She is one of the recipients of the Zonta Amelia Earhart Fellowship award, awarded to 35 aerospace women engineers worldwide.
