Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement:

The ICSMSM 2026 is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity in all its publications and proceedings. We aim to ensure that all published materials are accurate, original, and adhere to ethical guidelines.

The following statement outlines the policies of ICSMSM 2026 regarding publication ethics and the measures taken to prevent and address research misconduct:

Originality and Plagiarism:

Submissions must be original and must properly cite or reference all sources of information. Plagiarism in any form, including self-plagiarism, will result in immediate rejection or, if discovered post-publication, retraction of the work.

Authorship:

Only individuals who have made substantial intellectual contributions to the work should be listed as authors. All listed authors must approve the final version of the manuscript and consent to its submission.

Data Integrity:

Authors are responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the data presented. Any fabrication, falsification, or intentional manipulation of data is considered serious misconduct and will be dealt with accordingly.

Language and Submission Guidelines:

  • All papers must be written in the English language and submitted through the official online submission portal.
  • Plagiarism Threshold: Ensure the plagiarism similarity index is below 15%.
  • Multiple Submissions: Submitting the same manuscript to more than one conference or publication simultaneously is prohibited.
  • Presentation Requirement: At least one author must register and present accepted papers/abstracts.

Conflict of Interest:

Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the research or its interpretation.

Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI):

Authors must disclose any use of AI tools (e.g., for writing assistance, data analysis, image generation) in their research or manuscript preparation. AI must not be listed as an author, and its use should not compromise the originality, accuracy, or integrity of the submission.

Legal Notice:

Neither ICSMSM 2026 nor any individual acting on its behalf accepts responsibility for any consequences arising from the use of information presented in published papers. While every effort is made to ensure accuracy, errors may occur despite rigorous review processes.

Responsibilities of Editors and Reviewers:

  • Fair Review: Editors and reviewers must evaluate submissions objectively, based on academic merit, relevance, and quality, without bias related to the author’s identity, affiliation, or background.
  • Confidentiality: All submitted manuscripts are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers and editors must not disclose or use unpublished material for personal gain.
  • Timeliness: Editors and reviewers are expected to provide constructive feedback and decisions promptly.

Commitment to Ethical Standards:

The ICSMSM 2026 adheres to internationally recognized ethical guidelines, such as those outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). We strive to foster an environment of trust, accountability, and excellence in academic publishing.
